The SQID installation can be as simple as lifting the grate or slab, checking the size of the rebate, cleaning the pit and rebate and dropping in the SQID.
This procedure can be undertaken with all Models with a “B” code , i.e. 56060B which is a 600 mm X 600 mm SQID with a wider flange of 680 mm X 680 mm but still made to fit a 600 mm X 600 mm pit under the grate.
USING A SQID KIT. All Model Codes designated with “A” require a kits to fix to pit.
The Kits are designed to be attached to the concrete walls of the pit using anchor nails or bolts below the top of the pit. Access for the SQIDS removal for maintenance must be retained, so the frame of the grate has to be larger than the SQID.
The Kits, normally consist of 4 rails of stainless steel or aluminum material, pre drilled 6.5 mm holes and with enough anchor pits to complete the installation. There are variation with bigger extended kits and special products.
